Over a hundred years of military and everyday history — exhibited in a place that is itself part of that history: an original WWII air-raid bunker in Mannheim.

About the museum
ZGMA documents more than a century of German history from a regional perspective. Original objects, uniforms, documents and everyday items tell the story of early airship construction, two world wars, life under American occupation, and the path of the young Bundeswehr.
We exhibit — we do not glorify. The objects speak for themselves, and the bunker speaks with them.
